The preacher can establish the audience's self-identity through sermons. What the preacher has to explain is the fact that the audience is a covenantal people. The audience can live a new life by recognizing their identity as a covenant people and the role of the Holy Spirit in them. According to knowledge in the field of quantum mechanics, the motion direction and position of elementary particles change depending on the existence of an observer. This fact is also applied between the preacher and the audience, and the understanding of the audience by the preacher who looks at the audience becomes the driving force behind the shape of the audience after a long-term ministry. This fact is also well explained by the concept of the law of expectation by pedagogue Bruce Wilkinson. It is language that is mobilized when the preacher explains his expectations to the audience. From the perspective of Walter Benjamin's linguistic philosophy, it is the preacher's role to connect "oral language" with "language of things". The preacher is the person who connects the words that are heard with the words that are seen. When the preacher conveys the contents of covenant theology to the audience, it is helpful for smooth communication by borrowing the concept of social humanities. In this study, an approach was attempted by mobilizing Chartres' concept of ontology and Bruce Hood's concept of self-epistemology. A person's self-concept may be straight or distorted depending on the relationship with the surrounding environment. In particular, the preacher has a great influence on how the audience establishes a correct self-identity. The preacher explains the identity of the believer as a covenant people, but the audience sometimes experiences pain that seems to contradict the Bible. Such an incomprehensible problem of hardship can be explained by the introduction of Victor Plankle's concept of “Logo Therapy”.
